The biggest man in the world,

A New world record! This man is the biggest in the world, weighing 560 kilograms (1200 pounds). Interestingly enough, he probably will also be added in the World Guiness Book of Records in 2008 for the man who lost the more weight (200 kilograms - 440 pounds). This Mexican, who is suffering from obesity for 20 years now, is not able to walk anymore.

Larger thumb

Liu Hua, a 24-year-old Jiangsu Province native, was born with a left thumb, index and middle finger much larger than normal.

Liu was suffering from a rare disease called Macrodactyly, a birth defect in which toes or fingers are abnormally large. The cause of the disease is unknown but bone and soft tissue grows at an extraordinary rate.

On July 20 surgeons began a seven-hour operation to reduce the size of Liu’s fingers and thumb. Doctors removed 5.1kg of flesh and bone in the procedure. A second operation is scheduled in six months to reshape his left arm and shoulder.

The world’s largest salad.

Pulpi, a town in the province of Almeria, southern Spain, has entered the Guinness Book or Records in September for creating the world’s largest salad.

It took 20 chefs more 16 hours to prepare the 6700kg salad, with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers and olives. A Guinness World Records judge was on the spot to confirm the new record.

The salad was later distributed to restaurants in Pulpi, and was served for free for their customers. I wonder if they could manage to finish all the veges…

Richard Mille RM027 Rafael Nadal

Does it make sense for a watch to feature a tourbillon and cost $525,000 if it was designed to be worn while playing tennis? Absolutely not, but that’s part of the charmof the RM027. This watch weighs less than 20 grams and was actually sculpted to Rafael Nadal ’s wrist and game so that he could wear it mid-match. The watch is so light that Richard Mille was forced to use plastic instead of glass for the crystal -- because using sapphire would have doubled the weight of the entire watch. Only 50 RM027s will see the light of day, and even at a half a million dollars, they arelikely all accounted for

MSRP: $525,000

World's Most Unique Hotel- Ark Hotel

World's Most Unique Hotel- Ark Hotel

The Ark hotel project was designed by Russian firm Remi-studio with the assistance of the International Union of Architects' program Architecturefor Disasters Relief. The dome-shaped hotel is constructed with wooden arches, steel cables and a ''self-cleaning'' plastic layer instead ofglass. The slinky-like Ark hotel can be adapted to suit both landand water. It is built to stay afloat in the event of floods or rising seas. The 14,000 square meter shell-like construction of arches and cables distributes the weight evenly, meaning it can withstand earthquakes. Daylight is filtered through to internal rooms due to the hotel's see-through structure, reducing the need for lighting.
It is designed ''an integrated energy system with an uninterpretable power supply using alternative energy sources'', the hotel uses solar panels and a rainwater collection system to provide inhabitants with power and water. It would be built around a central pillar connecting to roof-top wind generators and heat pumps, as well as to energy storage and thermal conversion units below. There will also be a 'tornado' energy generating spiral at the top of the pillar.

There's a 37-year-old artist in China who can paint himself into anything.
Liu Bolin has been disguising himself to blend in urban or nature backdrops, creating the illusion of a human chameleon or a ghost.
He spends about 10 hours being painted for each work so he perfectly matches the background.
He paints himself all over toblend into the background of city scenery.
And the result is amazing. Check out some unbelievable images from his project 'Hiding in the City' in Beijing
